fun-fact-ish - the turnip patch
version 2.0
*waves good-bye to november*

Can't say that thing worked as advertised... but I still probably got more writing done during the month than I would have otherwise.  Approximately ten scenes written, or blocked in, at least.  At least sixteen more to go. -_- Let's not even get into word count.  Not bad, I suppose, considering I ran into a hmm-what-next? point about halfway through, and then ran off to play Skyrim instead. ^^'

It must be a YMMV effect. ^___^ You got actual writing done though! Cool! All I got was another ulcer after my kid was semi-sorta-kinda mugged. >.<

You wouldn't be so impressed by my 'progress' if you knew what passes for a 'scene' in these parts... ^^'

Umm.... semi-sorta-kinda is better than nothing, I guess? ^^''

Your scenes make more sense than my scenes. ^___^

After I quit having a heart attack I was able to convince myself of that fact. ^___^ Could've been way worse.

My 'scenes' at the moment are just 'you get the point'.  I usually get hung up on writing because of the anxiety of not knowing where I'm going, or if I really want to slow the pace of the story down with this, or what if I want to show this thing later.  So this time around, I decided I'd write my scenes barebones, just enough to hold their place, and then after they all form a barebones whole, I can switch things up or edit as necessary, and then I can proceed to fill in all the blanks with confidence.  Theoretically.  We'll see if it all comes together in the end.

Were you informed with immediacy, or in a 'oh by the way...' sort of way?

Ah, I get it. I think I tried doing the basic framework thing a time or two and discovered that my brain doesn't like it. >_> It likes its digressions, by Thor, and it aims to have them, whether I like it or not. *sigh*

Yeah, I was promptly informed, had my fit and then called the sheriff. >.< I hate teenagers. Little weasels.

My brain likes basic frameworks so much that after the framework goes in, my brain would like to declare that its job is done and wipe its hands of the whole thing. =p At least this time around, since it's another daily-life fic, every damn scene can be a digression and it's fine. -_-

Would weasely 'teenagers' describe your kid, or the perps? ^^

Would that make your brain "modernist" or "minimalist"? Those always confuse me... O_o

Well, when the kid was a teenager, he wasn't really allowed to be weaselly and now he's not a teenager anymore... He's always been more of a smartass, I think. ^___^ It's probably not fair to weasels to call the perps weaselly, but I can't think of anything that isn't also an insult to some other innocent animal. ^__o
